Please, give me your feedback. Which of these does not deserve to be here? What are your top five?

  1. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy - This is my runaway #1.

  2. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

  3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

  4. Cannery Row by John Steinbeck – This is a sentimental favorite. I’ve read many better books, but I read this book as an upperclassman in high school and suddenly grew interested in reading. I had been ignoring the discipline for a few years, faking it for assignments or doing as little as necessary, but after this one, reading became my favorite hobby.

  5. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
