To follow our discussion last class about the importance and relevance of telling stories, I thought I’d point you to a blog I like to read. It is written by a mom in Salt Lake City, and she makes a living blogging. She has a knack for recognizing great stories in her life and she tells them on her blog. She also has an artistic sense and takes fantastic photographs.

Please read this entry, and notice that she builds the entire article upon specific details and specific stories. You could count on one hand the generalizations she makes – she quits generalizations in favor of specifics, and that’s what makes us laugh (maybe – I should say it’s what makes me laugh, I suppose).
