Evaluate the entire year

Maybe because I am a glutton for punishment, but mostly because I enjoy open influence on my classes from students, I am interested in your opinions about the year.
- I’d like you to talk with classmates about the following questions and give me a wealth of feedback - pour it on and help me construct a better class for next year.
- I would like to collect your thinking on one wiki page, so you can respond by signing in to the wiki and adding it directly there or by writing it out as a blog article, linking to this page, and letting me cut and paste your responses into the wiki later.
- What was your favorite thing that we studied this year? Why was it your favorite?
- What thing did we do or study that you disliked the most? Please explain.
- What advice would you offer one of my students next year?
- What type of assignment did you enjoy the most? Why?
- During what unit of study did you learn the most? What did you learn and why were you so successful?
- How would you describe this class to a person beginning the class next year?
- What is one thing you would change about the way I teach or the activities I most often do?

[...] I think that my favorite thing that we did this year was getting to write what I want on our blogs. We did not get to always write what we want sometimes had to write about something that had to do with what we were reading. I like that we got to watch movies that had to do with a book that we just got done reading. I really did not like all the reading we did because I dont like to read. To me I thought alot of the books we read were kinda boring. So it took me a long time to read a book. The advise I give to the students next year would be when Mr. Sheehy gives you class time make sure you use it all. Because if you dont u will fall very behind. The unit i learned the most was the part were we got to learn about other websites that we can use to put up blogs and make videos and do other cool stuff. The way I would describe this class to a new comer would be that Mr. Sheehy is really nice and funny on a good day. Other wise just make sure you dont slack off because it will come back to hant you towards the end of the year. The thing that I would have you change would be the way you had us read. Because I read better when I read with other people. But when I have to read by myself its not so easy. I have a hard time paying attention to something i think is really boring. [...]
